FAQ's

We have put together some frequently asked questions and answers. Should this not do the trick please call or email us, and we will be happy to help.

Do we need to book?

Yes. It is always advisable, especially if booking on busy nights. We are a busy restaurant and willalways endeavour to fit you in but please book to avoid disappointment. Tel. 01223 353110

Do you take parties?

Our maximum party size is 60. We have various private rooms in which one can have smaller parties.

Can we just pop in for a drink?

You can. We are one of the very few establishments close to the city centre that serves local real ale.

Are children allowed in the restaurant and bar area?

We welcome children of any age in the restaurant. We have a children’s menu. We do however request children to be well behaved, seated and other customers to be considered.

Do we have disabled access?

Yes, we have excellent facilities on the ground floor.

Where is the nearest place to park?

There is public parking directly opposite the restaurant on pay and display. The charge is 10p for 10 minutes.

Do you have outside seating?

We have tables to the front of the restaurant and a courtyard area to the rear which is a real sun trap in summer.

Can we request a table?

You can try! We will always do our best to fulfil a request but please never assume a request is guaranteed.

Who is the management?

General Manager is Robert Tyzack. Head Chef is Barry Neilson.

Do you still serve Beef Wellington?

If Beef Wellington isn't currently on the menu we're still happy to serve it. Please contact us on 01223 353110 to pre-order with 48 hours notice.
